Fashion means different things to different people. To some it means designer branded clothes and shoes and to others it’s whatever fits and looks good. Mine would probably be the latter, but irrespective, I always choose quality over quantity. As some may perceive quality as expensive (pricey), this is not always the case. Whereas pricey may be relative, quality is not.
When it comes to clothing, one rule I always follow is not to spend more than I can afford. Clothes are very addictive, and every single day there is a new trend on the market, setting a target expense for yourself is a great way to fix such habits.
You can always transform the long legged jeans to shorts when they become worn-out and old.
I also try to avoid trending fashion lines, I avoid the clothes but stick to the styles, meaning I avoid the labels but try to get something similar to the brand. I wouldn’t like to spend too much on clothes and not afford medical care. That would be sad. Hence sticking with a classy and stylish minimalistic outlook. I couldn’t help but agree to the popular saying, “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance”
That however doesn’t change the fact that I love to have fun with my clothes and look my best. Here’s a list you can try if you are a budget freak like myself.
I love jeans, skinny, oversize, shorts, boot cut, ripped, you name it, I love them all. Jeans last long and you can always transform the long legged jeans to shorts when they become worn-out and old. You can wear jeans to almost everywhere, all you need to do is change your blouse to suit the occasion and you are good to go!
LITTLE BLACK OR WHITE DRESS
These are perfect for parties and dinners, or just that naughty girls night out. One can easily swap a heel with sandals or sneakers and change the whole theme of the dress code.
You can also layer your dress with a shirt or top for a more laid back and chic style.
JUMPSUITS AND OVERSIZED PANTS.
Oversized pants are my absolute favorite; Jumpsuits even the more. I particularly love oversized pants because they are extra comfy and easy to wear. Whatever body size you are, you can always slay in them.
You can match appropriate jumpsuits with heels for a dinner date, prom or lunch even.
If you want to look good with minimal effort, jumpsuits are the way to go!
Last but not the least, sweat pants. They are underrated and underused mostly because our part of the world has hotter weather conditions. But all the same they make perfect evening outfits when you don’t want to be extra or not put much effort into your look.
They make you look cool and approachable. An appropriate sweatpants can be more than a stroll paddy, it can become a perfect dinner date outfit.
I didn’t mention accessories because I don’t really do much of it, but if you love them, throw them on sometime for a much classier and extravagant look. After all, a girl needs to look two things, classy and fabulous (quote by Coco channel)
Fashion really is what you make it to be. My main priority would be on styling than following designer trends.
I mostly like to feel comfortable in whatever I wear, looking effortlessly chic with very minimal effort and less spending
You can update your style by checking out latest trends on social media but you don’t necessary need to buy the brand outfits you can’t afford.
Remember clothes can make you look and feel good but they can’t save your life.
